The first obstacle is to get on the mat more often…

If you’re feeling the call to do yoga more regularly but find it hard to get on the mat, you’re not alone. This course is designed to motivate and inspire (hence the name) so that you will WANT to get on the mat in pursuit of pleasure, play and peace.

JIGGY-UP your Practice includes five sessions shot in the Daintree Rainforest in North Queensland, Australia

Each session focuses on a different quality – strength, calm, connection, love and acceptance. The practices are all complete within 30 minutes so it doesn’t munch into your time or place huge expectations on what ‘good’ home practice is. For me, good yoga practice is bringing full heart and attention into everything worth doing. Simple as that.

Listening to the wisdom of the body.

The yoga sessions focus on developing a deep connection to the body-mind. We work with feelings like a colour palette, creating deliberately and noticing what each feeling quality brings to the moment. Your body always seeks to align with a natural state of wellbeing, but sometimes thoughts get in the way. When we drop into a feeling, kinesthetic space, thoughts quieten and we can better listen to inner impulses and the wisdom of the body. Self-awareness leads to right thought and action.

JIGGY-UP your Practice 30-day online course includes:

Five 30-minute general level practices – the practices are designed to meet you where you are. Each video explores a different theme and feeling sensation in the body; strength, love, acceptance, calm and connection (a meditation and breathing practice). These practices are like templates, after a while you may want to add in your own variations or follow the charts provided. All videos are downloadable or can be streamed on your computer.
30 days of insight and inspiration to your inbox – The 30 days are divided into five modules based on the themes in the videos. The daily emails contain inspiration for your practice, yoga philosophy and practical suggestions for taking your yoga off the mat and into your life.
10 technical tutorials – if you’d like some extra help on alignment, these videos go into detail to make sure you’re aligning your body optimally.
Drawn charts of the practices – sometimes I’ll suggest you work without me and use the charts. Sometimes you might want to. You can also add in additional poses if you feel so inspired!

What does it cost?

An entire month to JIGGY-UP your practice with me costs $97. There is also an opportunity to upgrade if you’d like some private coaching time with me. For $220 you get the course plus two private sessions offered over Skype. This is your chance to blast through obstacles that are holding you back from living fully. You can also use them to refine your yoga practice.

FAQ’s for Jiggy-Up your Practice!

How does it all work?
Once you have registered, you’ll be directed to an email sign up form. Just before the course begins you’ll be sent login details for a members page on the Courageous Yogi site. On the members page you’ll find the videos to download or stream. I recommend downloading the videos so you’re not relying on the internet connection. Once you get the videos they’re yours to keep. Every day for 30 days you’ll get an email from me with an intention or inspiration for your practice and your day. From there, you can choose to either work with the videos or with the charts of the practices. There is also a suggestion for taking your yoga off the mat that day. This is great if you decide that practicing every day on the mat is not feasible for you.

How hard are the yoga videos?
The yoga videos are general level which means they are not for absolute beginners but are suitable for people with some experience. In the videos, I offer variations for poses so there are options to suit your ability.

What if I have questions or need technical help?
You can email me any time. In fact I welcome questions and will address them in the course and on my CY Facebook page.

What if I lose focus because it’s online?
At the beginning of the course I’ll help you set an intention that is manageable. From there you’ll get daily inspiration plus a weekly video from me about the various obstacles that may be coming up. So even though the ball’s in your court, I’m confident that the content I send you will keep you motivated for the month. The other thing I recommend is have a friend who also does it so you can check in and encourage each other on.

Will this take over my life?
It depends on you? The short answer is no. You get to decide how you want to practice as I offer both on the mat and off the mat ways of practicing yoga for the day. Journalling is recommended but not essential. This is all about listening to what you need. If you want it to be your main focus for 30 days then it can be, if you want to just have a taster every morning, then that’s exactly what you’ll get!

If I purchase the coaching/private lessons, can I do the private lessons with you in person rather than on Skype?
